Project Assistant

We are now inviting applications for the position of a Project Assistant to the University of Vaasa’s Innovations and Ecosystems Team, which is a team of international experts responsible for driving innovation, transformation, and ecosystem thinking and approaches, connecting the University to the local, national, and international networks and strategic partners. The position is offered for a fixed-term of one year with a starting date in October 2023 or as agreed.

Your role

In your role, you will work in the Horizon 2020 funded project REUNICE (Research with and for society in EUNICE) aiming at serving the global and local communities by building effective cooperation between science and society in an innovative way, creating an extended involvement of citizens, civil society and public authorities. In addition, you will assist the Innovations and Ecosystems Team in their activities driving student entrepreneurship. 

Your tasks will include:

  • Supporting the execution of piloting plans for an existing innovation management and university-industry collaboration platform
  • Assisting the continuation planning for the platform based on the piloting results

In addition, you will assist us with the execution of additional innovation activities.

Appropriate training and coaching will be provided to ensure success in these activities.

Spoken and written English skills are a requirement to succeed in the position.

Salary

The salary will be based on the Finnish University Salary System for expert and support staff. The monthly salary is based on job demand level 3. An additional personal salary component is paid based on work performance.
