Tenure Track position in International Management

We are now inviting applications for a Tenure Track position in International Management. The position will be filled primarily as a fixed-term Assistant or Associate Professor position under the tenure track system. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build a multifaceted academic career in a dynamic and international environment.

The Tenure track position in International Management is based in the School of Management. The School carries out research and education in the fields of business studies and administrative sciences across its seven subject areas. The research profile and activities of the position are connected to the Human Resource Management research group. The research group is Finland's largest research group focusing on human resource management, and its three main research themes are: international human resource management, strategic human resource management and leadership research.

Job description and requirements

The desired research profile is based on how international management is responding to challenges arising from the future of work and demographic changes. In terms of the future of work, this includes research on how emerging new work arrangements are influencing global mobility and careers, as well as global remote working and global leadership. In terms of demographic changes, this includes research on how the global demand and supply of skilled labour is influencing global talent attraction, development and retention, as well as the integration of skilled immigrants. 

The teaching and supervision responsibilities are mainly connected to the Bachelor's and Master's programmes in International Business, and the Doctoral Programme in Business Studies.

Applicants are required to have an appropriate doctoral degree together with excellent academic merits, evidence of the potential to produce high-quality research, as well as evidence or the potential to produce high-quality teaching.
